The gauges, door panels, kick panels, headliner, window moldings, and door sills were removed.  The screws and small parts that were removed were placed in plastic bags, labeled, color coded, and stored.  Some items from the dashboard, seat frames, door handles, window cranks, bezels, door latches, window frames, bumpers, ash trays, headlight covers, wind wing frames, windshield wipers, wiper arms, arm rest screws and tail lights were sent for chroming to Custom Metal Finishing from February 19, 2014 through August 25, 2016.  The original front window frames could not be re-chromed.  New front window frames were purchased from N/C Industries, chromed, and the weather stripping and glass were added.  The 1934 DeSoto reproduction door sills were purchased from Hazlewood Enterprises on August 5, 2014.

The parts that were removed were placed in plastic bags, when possible.  Larger parts were wrapped with colored tape and numbered.  The colored and numbered parts were listed in the shop computer.  The pages with the parts inventory were printed out and placed in plastic sheet protectors.  The parts were color coded with tape, numbered, listed on the garage computer, and placed in plastic bins.  The color coding was:

* Orange Tape for the Interior Parts;

* Blue Tape for Engine Parts;

* Gray Tape for Exterior Body Parts;

* Lime Green Tape for Interior Trim Parts;

* Red Tape for Brake Parts;

* Pink Tape for Body, Frame, and Running Board Bolts;

* Purple Tape for the Exhaust System Parts;

* Superman Tape for Dash Board Pieces

The body was transported from the Cicero, Indiana garage on November 3, 2014 for media blasting at Central Indiana Redi Strip by North Central Auto Recovery (North Central).  The car was brought back to the garage on November 5, 2014.  The body was transported to Colin Craig in Kokomo, Indiana on November 25, 2014 by North Central.

From November 25, 2014 through June 15, 2015 Colin Craig worked on the body.  The Modern Paint Color Substitutions for 1934 - 1937 DeSoto and Chrysler Airflow's, was prepared by the DeSoto Club Chief Judge Ellis Claar in 1993.  The color chart from the Airflow Club of America web site was consulted for the body and frame color for the 1934 DeSoto.  The Baden Green # 4 color corresponded to a 1976 Volkswagen, Spanish Green # L63Z - Martin Senour Color Code 32-21849.

On June 15, 2015 the painted body was transported by North Central back to the garage.
